Farmacológica Action
The plants of the Sideritis sort widely are used in the Mediterranean river basin, like antiinflammatory powerful, espasmolítico, digestive, antiulceroso, healing, reepitelizante; antiseptic, antibacterial, antifúngico and like diurético.
Indications
Gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer, gastrointestinales espasmos, enterocolitis, syndrome of the null and voidable intestine, dispepsias hyposecretory, meteorismo. Cystitis, urolitiasis, benign adenoma of prostate. Influenza, resfriados, faringitis, laryngitis, bronchitis.
To the outside: conjuntivitis, blefaritis, estomatitis, faringitis, otitis, sinusitis, vulvovaginitis, wounds, contusions, burns, eczemas, dermatomicosis, inflammations osteoarticulares.
Contraindications
Not to internally prescribe the essential oil during the pregnancy, the lactancia, to small children nor to people with gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer, syndrome of the null and voidable intestine or with neurological transtornos.
Not to prescribe oral forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
To consider the alcoholic content of the fluid extract and the dye.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Infusion: a sopera spoonful by cup, to instill 10 minutes. To take three cups to the day.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 30-50 drops, one to three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 50 to 100 drops, one to three times to the day.
External use:
- Infusion: Isotonizar and to apply in form of lotions, ocular compresas, lavativas, instilaciones, coirises or baths.
