The apple is in itself a compendium of medicinal virtues, known from very old. They emphasize among them the digestive ones, who the medical school of Salerno, in centuries X to the XIII in Italy, described with the following aphorism, according to Messegué appointment: Post pirum gives potum, post pomum vade cacatum, (After the pear, pipí; after the apple, poop).

Antidiarreica: they have the virtue to absorb the bacterial toxins that take place in the intestine, in addition to desinflamar and curing its mucosa. The apples are useful in all type of diarreas, or are slight or complicated with colitis or disentería (lee emission with snot and blood). They give good results in the enterocolitis produced by foods in badly been (nourishing toxiinfecciones), produced frequently by the Salmonella microorganism. They are very recommendable in the infantile gastroenteritis
Laxative: peculiarly, the apple has a regulating effect on the flora and the intestinal peristaltismo, that grants contradictory properties apparently to him (antidiarreico and laxative): Seizure in the morning in uninformed, gives good results in the chronic or habitual constipation.
þ purifying Diurética and: by their capacity of absorption of intestinal toxins, the apples give good results in eccemas chronic of the skin, that sometimes must to an autointoxication of the organism. In addition, they facilitate the elimination of úrico acid, urea and other remainders of the metabolism, reason why they agree to the arthritics, rheumatics, gotosos, and to those who suffer of urinary calculations. The leaves and the flowers of the apple tree are very diuréticas and they are recommended in case of renales calculations or river sands, nefritis (inflammation of the kidneys) and of arterial hypertension.
Use: crude (ralladas), roasted or boiled apples, of means to a kilo to the day; it always agrees to pelar them, unless they come from biological culture, and therefore have not been dealt with insecticides or other chemical agents. Juice: a daily glass of juice or apple juice in the breakfast, assures a good physical form; It is possible to be mixed with carrot or lemon juice to obtain better revitalizantes results. Decocción of 2 divided apples puttings to boil in a liter of water, during half an hour; the resulting liquid, sweetened if it is desired, is recommended specially for the patients very debilitated, before initiating the solid diet. Decocción of crust: it is prepared with 50-100 grams of crust of the tree by liter of water; they are taken from 3 to 5 daily cups like tonificante, febrífugo and astringent. Decocción of leaves and flowers: it is made with 50 grams by liter of water; 4 or 5 daily cups like diurético are taken.
