It is an used species to treat respiratory problems like gripa, tosferina, cough, fever, vomit and tuberculosis. Also it is a good remedy for disentería, nasal diarrea, hemorrhages, tonsilitis, stomach ache and poles of insects, cases in which are recommended to take the infusion from the branches. It is said that these, but macerated, are used for epithelial affections, applying them directly in the affected part.
