Polifenólicos compounds derived from pirocatecol: urushiol, ureshenol. Flavonoides derived from kenferol, miricitrósido, quercetósido. Abundant tannins (more of 25%)..

Farmacológica Action

In topical use: rubefaciente, analgesic.

Indications

Inflammations osteoarticulares, muscular mialgias, contracturas, neuralgias.

Contraindications

Not to apply on zones of altered skin.

Indirect effect

Látex of the fresh plant produces contact dermatitis.

Precaution/Poisonings

Not to use internally to ponderales doses: the ingestion of leaves or fruits triggers a toxic picture with gastroenteritis and the death by respiratory collapse can be caused.

Linimiento, oleate, applied in massage form.
