The flowery roots and sumidades.
Active Principles
Essential, rich oil in transanetol, mentol and carvona. Isoflavonoides: ononósido. Triterpenos: alpha-onocerina. Fitosteroles (beta-sitosterol). Tannins.
Farmacológica Action
Diurético, salurético and azotúrico, sudorífico, astringent (antidiarréico, healing), colagogo.
Indications
States in which an increase of the diuresis is required: genitourinarias affections (cystitis, ureteritis, uretritis, pielonefritis, oliguria, urolitiasis), hiperazotemia, hiperuricemia, drop, arterial hypertension, edemas, overweight accompanied by retention of liquids.
Disquinesias hepatobiliares, colecistitis.
Contraindications
Decompensated cardiac or renales insufficiencies.
Obstruction of the biliary routes.
Not to prescribe forms of metering with alcoholic content for oral administration to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
So that the diurético effect is greater, we recommended to prescribe in form of discontinuous treatments (eight to ten days, followed of equal period of rest).

Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Infusion (flowery sumidades): a spoonful of dessert by cup, to instill 10 minutes, three cups to the day.
- Decocción (roots): 10-20 g/l, to boil 5 minutes. Three cups to the day, after the meals.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 30-50 drops, one to three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, two or three times to the day.
- dry Extract (5:1): 300 mg/cápsula, 1 to 3 to the day.
External use:
- Infusion (flowery sumidades): in form of garglings.
