METERING
INFUSION or DECOCCIÓN
To add boiling water in amount equivalent to a cup to 1 sopera spoonful of rizoma crushed and to let instill during 10-15 minutes. Half an hour to take a cup before the meals, without sweetening
DYE
To take 2-4 mililiter three times to the day
BATHS (external use)
To add to the water of the bath a decocción from 500 g of rizoma by liter of water

Farmacológica Action
Appetizer, stimulating of the digestion, by its bitter principles; carminativo, diurético, sedative, sudorífico, hypotension, espasmolítico, anticonvulsivante, topical antirheumatic, by the essential oil.
Indications
Lack of appetite, dispepsias hyposecretory, gastroduodenales gastritis, espasmos, meteorismo. Anxiety. States in which an increase of the diuresis is required: genitourinarias affections (cystitis, ureteritis, uretritis, oliguria, urolitiasis), hiperazotemia, hiperuricemia, drop, arterial hypertension, edemas, overweight accompanied by retention of liquids.
Contraindications
The essential oil does not have to be used during the pregnancy, the lactancia, nor to smaller children of two years.
Not to prescribe forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
The essential oil, to elevated doses, is toxic on the central nervous system. Also carcinogénico is considered. We recommended not to exceed the indicated doses and to prescribe in form of discontinuous treatments.
To consider the alcoholic content of the fluid extract and the dye.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Infusion: A spoonful of postre/taza. To boil during 5 minutes and to let instill during other 10. Three cups to the day.
- Dust: 1 to 3 g to the day, preferably in syrup form or 500 capsules of mg.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 15-30 drops, one to three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 30-60 drops, one to three times to the day, before the meals.
External use:
- Decocción: 20 g/l, to boil 10 minutes, to macerate during 6 hours. To apply in form of hot compresas.
- It tinctures (1:10): To apply in form of compresas, diluted in water.
