The inferior ones are pecioladas, made oval, oblong and with the crenado edge.

The leaves of the stem briefly are pecioladas, small and narrow

FLOWERS

They are of color purple or pink and they are arranged forming terminal ears.

The flowering takes place from July to September.

FRUITS

Tetraquenio of dark color.

HABITAT

One is in grassy places and forests.

Very it is extended in southern and western Europe.

In Spain one adapts near the sea and zones of low mountain very well.

Hemicrania, Vertigo, States of anxiety, gastric Atony, varicose Sores, Ulcers, Wounds, Hypertension, insomnia, amenorrhoea, dismenorrea, gastroenteritis, gastrointestinales espasmos, fever, influenza, bronchitis, migraines, migrañas, hurt.

Elaboration: once all the mentioned plants have been mixed well is prepared in infusion to 3% (is to say by each 100 water g we will put 3 g of the mixture) When being an infusion we do not have to never boil the plants.

Active Principles

Abundant tannins, betaína, lactonas: estaquidrina; phenolic acids: clorogénico, caféico, rosmarínico; glucosídico complex.

Farmacológica Action

Hipotensor, by the presence of a glucosídico complex. Antipyretic, emenagogo, espasmolítico, astringent, sedative and slightly hipnótico. In topical, healing use.

Contraindications

Gastritis, ulcus gastroduodenal (precautions see).

Not to prescribe forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.

Precaution/Poisonings

Due to its high tannin content, the root can cause irritation of the gastric mucosa, with nauseas and vomits.

To consider the alcoholic content of the fluid extract and the dye.

Galénicas Forms/Dosage

- Infusion: a dessert teaspoon by cup, 1 or 2 cups to the day.

- fluid Extract (1:1): 25-50 drops, one to three times to the day.

- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, 2-3 times to the day.

- topical Application: it tinctures or infuso to 10%.
