Flavónicos derivatives: espireósido (glucósido of quercetol), monotropósido (unfoldable in primaverósido and methyl salicylate). Gálicos tannins. Small amounts of essential oil: salicilaldehido, anisaldehido.
Farmacológica Action
The monotropósido one is hidrolizado by the bacterial flora, giving rise to methyl salicylate, antiinflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, anticoagulant. The flavonoides heterósidos ones and have a diaforética, diurética action (uricosúrica and azotúrica), and reinforce the antiinflammatory activity. The tannins exert an action astringent.
Indications
Fever, gripales affections, resfriados. Urolitiasis, reumatismo, hiperuricemia, drop, oliguria, edemas, cystitis, uretritis. Inflammations you will articulate. Prevention of tromboembolias, arteriosclerosis.
Contraindications
Hipersensibilidad to the salicylates.
We recommended to abstain to prescribe concentrated extracts of ulmaria in case of gastroduodenales ulcers, active hemorrhages or when treatments with hemostatic anticoagulants are followed or.
Not to prescribe oral forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
To prescribe discontinuous treatments.
To consider the alcoholic content of the flowed extract, the dye and the syrup.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Infusion: A spoonful of dessert by cup, to instill 10 minutes, three to five cups to the day, after the meals.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 30-50 drops, one to three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, one to three times to the day.
- Syrup (5% of fluid extract): A sopera spoonful, three times to the day.
- dry Extract (5:1): 300 mg/cápsula. One to six to the day.
External use:
- Decocción: 30 g/l, to boil 15 minutes. To apply hot, in form of compresas or local baths (rheumatic affections).
- flowed Extract, glicólico extract.
