The use of this tea is very extended in Spain in the territories of the old Crown of Aragón. Its tisane very is appreciated, and has an pleasant alcanforado scent, with a a little bitter flavor. It replaces with advantage the common tea. The rock tea was not known by Dioscórides and other authors of the classic antiquity, because it does not grow up in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Habitat: own of the countries of the western Mediterranean. In Spain it abounds in Catalonia, Aragón and Valencia, specially in mountainous zones of Mediterranean vegetation. One is in the cracks of calcáreas rocks, which has given rise to its name.
