Farmacológica Action
The saponósidos ones justify their expectorante action; the demulcentes, mucolíticas and healing mucílagos and alantoína, their properties.
Indications
Bronchitis, faringitis, gingivitis. Gastritis, diarrea. Cystitis, uretritis. Sudorífica. Bronchial and pulmonary colds, favor the expectoración. Consumption
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactancia, hepatopatías, by the pirrolizidínicos alkaloids.
Indirect effect
Hepatotóxicos effects which had have been described to the pirrolizidínicos alkaloids.
Precaution/Poisonings
When it is prescribed to hypersecretory patients with dispepsias, to palliate the possible irritant effects of the saponósidos ones on the gastroduodenal mucosa, we recommended to associate to demulcentes drugs like manzanilla, malva or malvavisco.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
- flowery Infusion of leaves or sumidades: 30 g/l, to instill 10 minutes. Three cups to the day.
- Decocción (it plants finds out): 15 to 30 g/l, to boil 5 minutes. Four cups to the day.
