- Flowers: Abundant saponósidos triterpénicos (8-10%) derived from the oleaneno; flavonoides: derivatives of quercetol and kenferol.

Farmacológica Action

The contained saponósidos ones in the flowers, roots and rizoma (primulósido), determine a balsámica action (mucolítica, expectorante); the flavonoides confer a espasmolítica, diurética and antiedematosa action to him. The derivatives of salicílico acid, febrífugas and analgesic properties.

Indications

Respiratory affections: influenza, resfriados, bronchitis, asthma, sinusitis. Oliguria, edemas, cystitis, urolitiasis; reumatismo, drop, neuralgias. In external use: contusions, inflammations osteoarticulares.

Contraindications

- fluid Extract (1:1): 25 drops, one to three times to the day.

- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, one to three times to the day.

External use:

- Decocción (root, rizoma): 100 g/l, to boil until being reduced to 1/3 of the volume. To apply in form of compresas.

- Extract flowed, diluted to 5% in hot water, applied in compresas.
