Essential oil (1-4%): pinenos, cariofileno, limoneno, felandreno; it draws resin from: secondary piperina and other amines (piperilina, piperitina, piperinina).
Farmacológica Action
To low doses he is stimulating of the central nervous system and digestive secretions. To greater doses he is diaforético and tenífugo. In addition he is bactericidal, conservante of foods and, in topical use, rubefaciente and sneezing.
Indications
Dispepsias hyposecretory, prevention of gastroenteritis. In external use: inflammations osteoarticulares, muscular, forúnculos mialgias, contracturas.
Contraindications
Hipersensibilidad to the pepper.
Gastritis, ulcus gastroduodenal, hemorroides.
Indirect effect
The prepared ones of black pepper irritate the skin and the mucous, being able to trigger allergic reactions.
Precaution/Poisonings
Its abusive consumption can cause hematuria and convulsions.
