Active Principles

Gálicos and elágicos tannins (6-8%). Flavonoides, salicílico acid, fitosterol, saponósidos, acid palmítico and esteárico.

Farmacológica Action

The tannins produce an effect astringent (antidiarréico, hemostatic, healing-reepitelizante) and bactericidal; the salicílico acid, analgesic antipyretic and. In addition he is diurético and healing. In topical use: dérmicas and corneales wounds, parodontopatías, faringitis, wounds, ulceraciones, conjuntivitis, dermatitis, eritemas, striae, prurito, vulvovaginitis, hemorrhages postshaved (lotion).

Contraindications

Gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer (to see precautions).

Not to prescribe oral forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.

Indirect effect

- Dust: on the dérmicas wounds or ulcers.

- fluid Extract (1:1), applied in lotion form.
