Description: Tree of 20-30 m of height, very graft, with the crust of the rough and opened trunk. The branches are tomentosas in the beginning and later glabras. The leaves are pecioladas, alternating, elliptical, asymmetric, acute, teethed, pilosas and tomentosas, penninervias. The flowers meet in axillary glomérulos, pentasépalas. The fruit is one sámara stupefied of winged yellowish color with aquenio. This species is object of an intense culture, but also it grows spontaneous in Europe. The form commonest is like shrub forming fences. It is collected in autumn.

Its Uso: Decocción, syrup, liparolito, juice, dusts.
Of Interest: Species widely used like tutor in the vineyards and also for the tannin obtaining; it provides in addition a colorante substance for the treatment to weaves. The juice, obtained from the incision of young branches, has been used in lotion against the baldness. The dust of the leaves, with a suitable excipiente, is useful for the preparation of pomadas antihemorroidales. The decocción applied on the reddened and irritated skins develops a tranquilizing action. Also it reacts as opposed to some dermatosis. The wood is used for works of ebanistería.
