· vulgar Names: "patito", "patito coludo", "buche of pavo", "papo of Perú", "jarrinha of cauda", "jarrinha gives práia" (Brazil).
· geographic Distribution and habitat: It grows in Brazil, Paraguay and the northeast of Argentina (Chaco, Currents, Missions, Santa Fe), in clear of the forest and the mounts that border the rivers and streams.
· Brief description of lá plants: Perennial Enredadera with trilobuladas (rare time bilobed), descolores, pubescentes in envés, glabras in the beam, more or less deeply enervadas leaves. Reddish flowers brown with purple striae, lip long taken care of of 20-35cm of length. Cylindrical, hexagonal capsule from oblong to, little or nothing rostrada of 5-7cm of length by 2-3cm of wide, dehiscente (it is opened in valvas like an umbrella that hangs). Flat, triangular-cordadas, warty seeds in the back and smooth ventral. It blooms in spring.
Uses and used part: The stems and the leaves are used like antirheumatic; the root like emenagogo, alexipharmic and antiseptic of external use.
Obs.: Other similar species of Aristolochia with uses and chemical components like the Argentine Aristolochia Gris and Aristolochia exist triangularis Cham.
· Administration: Cocimiento of 20 grams by liter of water, up to two daily cups.
Precaution: The treatments will have to be discontinuous, with periods of rest (one week of taking and two of rest). Not to exceed the doses indicated by risk of hepática toxicity.
