It is a plant with reported medicinal use from the center to the Southeastern of the country, mainly by its application in cases of diabetes, where the treatment consists of using the infusion of the leaves, branches, crust or root as use water. For malaises of arterial pressure and to treat renales problems, the cofoundation of this plant for its ingestion in uninformed is recommended at least during one week. Also it receives ample use against poles of scorpion and ants and excessive salivation, for which the affected part must be washed with the cofoundation of the leaves, previously sweetened with bee honey. In cases of warts látex is applied direct and against burns it is recommended to grind the leaf with oil of baby or boiled with salt for his application in baths and promotions or like cataplasms.

Tree of up to 20 ms of height, straight and hollow stem, with great leaves in extended form of hand. The flowers are in favor separated of white pelillos; their small fruits present/display a seed. It lives in climates warm, semiwarm and tempering, and grow in the tropical forest perennifolia, superennifolia, caducifolia and subcaducifolia; scrub xerófilo, and forests mesófilo of mountain and encino.
