Indications: Expectorante. It fights the espasmos of the bronchi. Asthma. Diurética. Uterine. Aperitive. Sudorífica.

Description: Perennial, very robust and showy plant, with provided root of rizoma heavy and fleshy, up to 1.5 ms of height. The basal, great leaves, are arranged in rosette; they can measure up to 15-20 cm. in width, with pecíolo long, slightly teethed. The leaves caulinares are smaller, something acorazonadas, sésiles, very scattered, of sure green color rough in the superior lamina and delicately cottony in the inferior one. The flowers are arranged in great yellow small heads, with a diameter of approximately 8 cm., surrounded by lígulas thin that form an irregular inflorescencia in corimbo. The receiver wears several layers of small overlapped brácteas, but with a morphology net to foliar. The fruit is aquenio oval, small, smooth, with vilano provided with long hairs. One grows up preferredly in humid places and with grass. One collects in spring and autumn, of plants of at least three years.

Way of use: Decocción, flowed extract, tincture, syrup, enolito, dusts.

Note: This species has been used in the manufacture of licores and also as it plants ornamental. Common little spontaneous, widely it is cultivated. In external use cataplasms against the pruritos are applied. By distillation, it provides until 2 % of semi-fluid essence. From this species alcohol can be obtained easily.
