Habitat: very common in fences and edges of all Europe and America.

Description: it plants vivaz trepadora, of the family of the Convolvuláceas, whose stems reach up to 2.5 meters in length. Their leaves are acorazonadas, and the flowers, great and of pure white color. Very similar to correhuela smaller.

Used parts: the root and the leaves.

Properties and indications: in all the parts of the plant, and specially in the root, tannin exists and resinous glucósido (the convolvulina), resemblance in its chemical composition and its properties to which it is obtained by the root of jalapa. It has laxative, colagogas and also coleréticas properties. Like laxative, it acts energetically, but without producing irritation nor vomits. Indicated in the acute constipation. It is possible to be administered to the children. Like colagoga, it facilitates the evacuation of the bile, and is indicated in cases of inflammation or hepática congestión, and in the upheavals of the evacuating of the biliary vesicle.

Use: infusion with a spoonful by root or leaves crushed by each water cup; they are possible to be taken up to 3 cups to the day, sweetened with honey. Dust: the normal dose is of 1 to 3 grams daily distributed in 3 takings.
