The essential oil is responsible for its aperitive, eupéptica, carminativa, espasmolítica, expectorante, bactericidal action and, topicamente, vulneraria (healing and antiseptic).
Indications
Gastrointestinales Dispepsias hyposecretory, meteorismo, espasmos. Bronchitis, pulmonary disease obstructiva chronicle. In topical application: disinfection and aid to the healing of wounds.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactancia, smaller children of six years (pure essential oil internally).
Precaution/Poisonings
The essential oil, in elevated doses, can be neurotoxic.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
- internal Use: Infusion to 5%, two or three cups to the day.
- external Use: cleaning of the wounds with alcoholic solution of the essence.
