Antidiarreico and intestinal antiseptic, due to its alkaloids.
Use: decocción with 10 or 15 grs. by root crushed (a spoonful) by water cup. To boil during 10 minutes, and to sweeten. They are administered of 6 to 8 daily spoonfuls of the resulting liquid.
Precautions: in high doses it has poisonous effects: nauseas, vomits, intestinal cólicos, and even can cause respiratory shutdown.
