Heterósidos cumarínicos. Small heterósidos amounts of antraquinónicos. Monotropósido. Heterósidos iridoideos: aucubósido (in the fresh plant). Bitter tannins, principles. Emulsina (enzyme of deployment of the cumarínicos heterósidos ones).
Farmacológica Action
Espasmolítico, mainly at digestive, carminativo level, appetizer-eupe'ptico. Antiinflamatorio, uricosúrico diurético. Sedative and slightly hipnótico.
They are recomiendaen: In dispepsias hyposecretory, gastralgias, nervousness, insomnia. Urolitiasis, oliguria.
Ocular affections: blefaroconjuntivitis.
Popularly one is used like diaforético (in resfriados and influenzas), to fight the hepatobiliares cólicos and like hepatoprotector (hepatitis).
Contraindications
Not to prescribe forms of metering with alcoholic content to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
To consider the alcoholic content of the fluid extract and the dye.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
- Infusion: 20-50 g/l, to instill 10 minutes, 2 cups to the day.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 30-50 drops, one to three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, one to three times to the day.
- topical Use: Infusion: 20 g/l, applied in form of coirises or ocular baths.
