Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel)-rich core also contains anethole, estragol terpene hydrocarbons that give action carminative, antispasmodic, and eupéptica galactógena, by stimulation of gastrointestinal smooth muscles.
Pimpinella anisum (Anise) contains essentially the main component is anethole, along with estragol and traces of aldehyde and ketone, anise, which give carminative action, eupéptica and antispasmodic.
Angelica archangelica (Angelica) contains furocoumarins, including angelicina (isomer of psoralen) which gives a marked sedative and antispasmodic activity. Its essential oil rich in phellandrene, determines their properties stomata, eupéptico and carminative. It also contains derivatives of psoralen (bergapten, imperatorina, felopterina) giving anti-inflammatory properties. It also has a bit of tannin and organic acids.
Melissa officinalis (Melissa) contains a small amount of essence with terpene hydrocarbons (pinene, limonene), alcohols (geraniol, linalool) and especially aldehydes (citral, citronellal), which is due to its antispasmodic, slightly sedative, carminative, eupéptica and bacteriostatic.
