Solaray calcium lactase is equivalent to 4,000 units FCC lactase per tablet with an additional 100 mg of calcium citrate calcium. Each small capsule is lightly coated to facilitate swallowing. Suitable for vegetarians.
Lactase is the enzyme in the small intestine that digests lactose (the natural sugar in milk). Some children and many people after infancy do not produce enough lactase, which impairs the body's ability to digest milk.
