It began to be used in Europe in century XVI. It is used the flowery whole plant and the flowers. It contains saponinas to which it must its diurética, purifying, antidermatósica action (antipruriginosa) and expectorante. It also has mucílagos, salicílicos derivatives, flavonicos tannins, pigments (violaquercitina, rutósido), carotenoid (violaxantina) that reinforce their actions. He is slightly laxative (mucílagos).

He is effective in case of affections of skin (acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatosis, etc) as much of the children, as of the adults; in respiratory affections (bronchitis, dry cough, etc); in reumatismos.

It can be used as much in internal use as external. The treatments with this plant must of being prolonged, giving very good results mainly in the skin affections.
