Plant of ample popular use but little studied. It contains derivatives of the beta-sitosterol. Heterósidos cianogénicos. Lactonas sesquiterpénicas of germacranólido type.

Farmacológica Action

Appetizer, hipoglucemiante, antiseptic, antiinflammatory, slightly colerético digestive, colagogo.

Indications

Anorexy, dispepsias hyposecretory, diabetes, disquinesia to hepatobiliar.

Precaution/Poisonings

When one prescribes diabetics, glucemia will be due to control to fit, if it is necessary, the doses of insulin or oral antidiabetics.

Galénicas Forms/Dosage

Internal use:

- Infusion: a spoonful of dessert by cup, two or three cups to the day, before the meals.

- Dust: 1 to 3 g/día.

External use:

- Infusion: 60 to 80 g/l, in form of baths.
