Wild Melisa

Unlike melisa, the wild toronjil does not offer a so pleasing aroma. It is characterized because their f1ores are born almost always of two in two, are greater and showy, and they are generally of pink color. Also they defer in its composition and properties.

In the Central European countries the wild toronjil in the cures of primaverales is used as mainly purifying. In addition, it facilitates the menstruation and calm the pains that accompany it in case by dismenorrea, although is not as effective as melisa.

As vulnerario it is used in external application to cure wounds, to which it helps to heal, and to alleviate to the pain and the inflammation caused by contusions and esguinces (twists).

Use: in infusion with 20-30 grams by liter of water, from which 3 daily cups are taken. It is possible to be sweetened with honey. Externally, washed with one more a concentrated infusion than prepared para.uso.interno (up to 60 grams by liter). In compresas also soaked in the concentrated infusion (up to 60 grams by liter); they are applied on the affected zone.
