Scientific Name nicotiana tabacum linnaeus TANACETUM VULGARE
The medicinal use of this plant is very old and is recommended to treat burns, erisipela, blows, gallings, scabies and herpes; its treatment varies according to the case and mainly the single or mixed leaves are used, in infusion with other plants. In headache leaves toasted or fresh like ointment extended in a linen cloth are placed. Also it is a good remedy in the cases of bronchitis, prepared in tea with manzanilla, romero, elder and balsam to take and night in the morning. In twists and pain ankle, the leaves previously rested in brandy are placed in the affected part.
Herbaceous of up to 3 ms of height, straight and smooth stem, and with great and extended leaves. Their flowers have trompeta form and originate fruits of made oval form. It has his origin in Mexico, where it lives in climates warm, semiwarm and semidry. It grows wild and in extensive cultures, and is associate to the tropical forest caducifolia, subperennifolia and perennifolia.
