Scientific Name chrysanthemum leucanthemum GREATER DAISY
Family: Composed.
Description: Annual or perennial of 30 to 60 cm. of height, glabra, tomentosa, sometimes slightly graft plant, with the stem marked by a series of estriaciones of red color, longitudinal. The most basal leaves are pecioladas, of espatulada form, whereas the apicales are narrow and amplexicaules. The flowers are formed by small heads crowned by the narrow brácteas of invólucro, that have in the edge a tonality dark purple. The corola presents/displays liguladas flowers, with lígula teethed in the extremity. The fruits are extended, dark, with a white band, whereas those that come from the flowers of the crown are provided with a species of vilano. It blooms from April to October and it grows everywhere, as much in the plain as in the low mountain. It is collected at the moment of the flowering.

Way of use Dusts, infusion, tinctures, cataplasm.
Note: Externally it has an action to harm it on the wounds of difficult healing. The distilled water is used like effective coiris in the conjuntivitis. Tier to us primaverales buds can be consumed like salad next to other grass. It is also cultivated with ornamental purpose.
