Active Principles
Sugars (50-60%), iron salts, calcium, manganese, bromine, A1 vitamins, B1, B2, C and D; rubber. Constipation, respiratory affections: resfriados, influenza, faringitis, bronchitis; enfisema, asthma. Gastrointestinales irritations: gastritis, colitis. Local inflammations: estomatitis, gingivitis, faringitis, abscesses, forúnculos, burns. Látex is used popularly like antiverrucoso.
Indirect effect
The present furanocumarinas in látex of the leaves and green infrutescencias can cause dermatitis by contact.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Decocción: 40 to 100 g/l, to drink voluntarily.
- fresh, dry Fruit, in confituras or compotas, like laxative.
External use:
- Decocción: applied in form of compresas, colutorios, garglings. The cut fruits, spanish stews and in two, are applied I warm up on forúnculos, abscesses and burns.
