Description: Herbaceous plant that reaches up to 3 heavy and axonomorfo ms, with rizoma. The stem is smooth and simple in its inferior section, and later it is divided dichotomizingly. The leaves, alternating, have pecíolo very short, are developed, with the acute base and the apex, superior lamina of more opaque green and inferior color, with reddish nerviaciones. The flowers have brief pedúnculo, bráctea and bractéola, lack petals, with five ovoidales tépalos, of greenish white color. The fruit is a fleshy, dark berry, in whose surface they emphasize ocho-diez ribs that correspond to the carpelos. It comes from South America and at the moment it grows spontaneous in the fences and fresh uncultivated places. It is collected at the end of spring.
