Family: Lentibulariáceas.

Description: Grass provided with a short fibrous root. The leaves, basal and ready in rosettes, are ovadooblongas, sésiles, fleshy, with the coiled limb, viscous, able to digest small insects. The flowers maintain to a fragile length pedúnculo to them, have spur and are bilabiadas, of violáceo blue color. The fruit is a elipsoidal capsule that contains numerous rough elliptical seeds. It is quite common in almost all the encharcados places, peat bogs, marshes, humid rocks. Pedúnculo reaches on the average a height of 10 cm. is collected in June.

Composed chemical: Mucílagos, tannin, benzoic acid, acid valeriánico, rubber, enzyme.

Tosífuga properties, antispasmodic, broncosedante.

Way of use Juice, flowed extract, infusion.

Of interest: The plant has an action on the respiratory tract similar to the one of the drosera, and can be used in its place. Its enzyme is proteolytic. The leaves applied externally in cataplasm form have vulneraria action. From the leaves a colorante substance and a vegetal curdle of milk are obtained.
