Scientific Name gentiana kochiana GENCIANA OF KOCH
Family: Gencianáceas.
Description: Plant provided with fusiform root, practically acaule. The leaves are arranged in a basal rosette, oblong, are lanceoladas, green, with nerviación and the dentated margin. The leaves caulinares are very small, made oval, opposed. The flower is apical on short pedúnculo, with the pentadentado tubular chalice, small and oval teeth. Pentalobulada tubular Corola, bluish. The fruit is a capsule bivalva with numerous seeds. It does not surpass the 10 cm. of height. It is quite common in the alpine silíceos meadows. It is collected in June.
Way of use: Infusion, tinctures, flowed, enolito extract.
Note: This species presents/displays properties similar to those of other known gencianas more, and it is used in licorería for the bitter drink preparation different. Used externally, the infusion presents/displays the property to clarify the freckles. The plant is antipirética and shows incompatibilidades with other products.
