- Leaves: they present/display a diurética action (uricosúrica-salurética), sudorífica, analgesic, antiinflammatory, vulneraria (healing), vasoprotectora and venotónica. Manitol is laxative osmótico.
- Crust: antipyretic. Popularly used like antihelmíntico and astrigente.
Indications
- Leaves: States in which an increase of the diuresis is required: genitourinarias affections (cystitis, ureteritis, uretritis, pielonefritis, oliguria, urolitiasis), hiperazotemia, hiperuricemia, drop, arterial hypertension, edemas, overweight accompanied by retention of liquids. Varices, hemorroides. Influenza, resfriados. Constipation.
Not to prescribe forms of metering with alcoholic content for oral administration to smaller children of two years nor to consultantes in process of etílica deshabituación.
Precaution/Poisonings
The use of diuréticos in the presence of hypertension or cardiopathies, only must become by prescription and under medical checkup, given the possibility of appearance of a tensional descompensación or, if the potassium elimination is considerable, an involution of the effect of the cardiotónicos.

Galénicas Forms/Dosage
Internal use:
- Infusion (foliolos): 10 to 30 g/l, to instill 10 minutes, 250-500 cc/día.
- Decocción (crust): 20 g/l, to boil 10 minutes. Two or three cups to the day.
- fluid Extract (1:1): 10 to 30 drops, three times to the day.
- It tinctures (1:10): 50-100 drops, two or three times to the day.
- Syrup (10% of fluid extract): one to three soperas spoonfuls to the day.
- dry Extract (5:1): 0,3 to 1 g/día.
External use:
- Decocción (foliolos): 40 g/l, to boil 15 minutes. To apply in compresas like vulnerario, and analgesic.
