Etimología: Prunus, Latin name of the wild plum tree. Serrulata, of the Latin serrulatus-a-um = sawed with small teeth, alluding to its leaves.
Description: Tree caducifolio that can reach 20 ms of stature, with grayish the brown crust or with many lenticelas. Simple leaves, ovadas or ovado-lanceoladas, of 7.5-12.5 cm. in length and 3-6,5 cm. in width, long acuminadas. Simple margin or doubly sawed, finishing each tooth in a rigid cilium. They in the beginning have green a copper color later to be dark by the beam and glaucas by envés; lampiñas by both faces. Pecíolo of about 2 cm. in 1-2 length provided glands.
