Active Principles
Lactonas sesquiterpénicas (centaurina) of structure similar to the cnidina, flavonoides (astragalósido, rutósido, luteolósido), calcitrápico acid; potassium salts, draw resin from; beta-sitosterol. Plans of alkaloids.
Farmacológica Action
Plant little studied. Properties are attributed to him antipiréticas, aperitive, digestive, diuréticas, coleréticas and hipoglucemiantes.
Indications
Lack of appetite, dispepsias hyposecretory, hiperglucemia, influenza, resfriados, disquinesias hepatobiliares.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactancia.
Precaution/Poisonings
When one prescribes diabetics, glucemia will be due to control, to fit the doses of insulin or oral antidiabetics.
The Centaurea calcitrapa is toxic for the cattle ranch: nigripalidans to the horses produces encefalomalacia that consume it like forage.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
- Infusion: 20 to 40 g by liter. To instill 10 minutes. To take 3 to 5 cups to the day.
- Decocción: 20 g/l, to boil 5 minutes. 3 to 5 cups to the day.
- Suspension of fresh plant: 125 to 160 g to the day.
