Active Principles
Heterósidos: xantoestrumarina. Caféico and cumarínico Acidos; quercetina. Essential oil, draws resin from. Plans of alkaloids. In the seeds: linoléico acid. In the fruits: beta-sitosterol.
Farmacológica Action
Plant little studied. Popularly one is used like diurético, sudorífico, sialagogo, antiinflammatory, astringent (antidiarreico, healing) or smooth laxative (according to the zones), espasmolítico, antiseptic, antipyretic and hepatoprotector.
Indications
States in which an increase of the diuresis is required: genitourinarias affections (cystitis, ureteritis, uretritis, pielonefritis, oliguria, urolitiasis), hiperazotemia, hiperuricemia, drop, arterial hypertension, edemas, overweight accompanied by retention of liquids. Diarreas. Influenza, resfriados. Cleaning and disinfection of wounds.
Contraindications
Small pregnancy, lactancia, children (oral route), by the presence of alkaloids.
Precaution/Poisonings
Popularly it is considered that it inhibits the feminine fertility and that can have depressive effects.
Galénicas Forms/Dosage
- Infusion: A spoonful of dessert by cup, to instill 10 minutes. Two or three cups to the day, after the meals.
