Vitamin A - Lamberts

Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin derived from beta carotene. The alcoholic form of vitamin A, retinol, is the storage in the body. The aldehyde form, retinal, plays an important role in vision.

The acid form, retinoic acid, is involved in embryo development. Vitamin A body functions as an antioxidant, protecting against oxidative damage.

USES

In terms of human nutrition, Beta carotene is one of the most important phytopigments and is found throughout the plant kingdom. Belongs to the family of carotenoids and when ingested, serves as a precursor to vitamin A. For this reason, it is often referred to as provitamin A. This conversion of beta carotene into vitamin A occurs in the liver, kidneys and intestinal mucosa at a level that varies from person to person, depending on their physiological needs.

Now Beta carotene is recognized as a substance important in itself, one of the major antioxidant nutrients in our diet. Antioxidants are substances that help our bodies to destroy or neutralize harmful free radicals that occur naturally and, if allowed to proceed unchecked, can damage tissues and organs.

The Lamberts Natural Beta Carotene ® is extracted in its natural form of the alga Dunaliella salina, a pink algae that live on the surface of the salt lakes and containing small amounts of other mixed carotenoids. Development of this organism is controlled in a sterile aqueous medium, which prevents contamination by harmful microorganisms. It is an excellent alternative to vitamin A, since it is much safer to not produce toxicity, being able to take during pregnancy and lactation. Each capsule of our product is equivalent to 2,435 mg of vitamin A.

DIRECTIONS

1 to 2 capsules daily with a meal.

WARNINGS

Do not take if heavy smokers.

Side Effects, Overdose

In some people can cause a yellowing of the skin.
