Silymarin is the active principle of Silybum marianum fruit, popularly known as milk thistle. It consists of three isomers called silybin, silidanina and silychristin, which are all classified as flavonolignanos, silybin being the most important component.
Milk thistle is one of the most extensively studied herbs today, with more than 300 scientific studies on its chemical composition and application.
It takes 8580mg of whole herb for 286mg of milk thistle extract, the exact amount found in one of our tablets. We use standardized extract of mature seeds guaranteed 200mg silymarin per tablet.
