The MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a metabolite of DMSO. It occurs naturally in the blood and is a component of hair, nails and metabolic enzymes.
PROPERTIES:
As the DMSO is said that MSM relieves arthritic pain, but without the strong smell of sulfur.
The MSM as a supplement is taken orally. Although primarily used in the treatment of arthritis, also says it can help in case of headaches, muscle pain, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome and allergies.
There are at least two clinical trials that have shown that between 2 and 6 grams of MSM effectively relieve arthritis pain. However, the mayoes evidence that MSM works are due to reports of personal stories of success and experience of Stanley W. PRECAUTIONS:
Using animal toxicity studies have shown that MSM is safe. Is a non-toxic compound even at high doses. However it may have a mild anticoagulant effect and should not be taken with anticoagulants such as aspirin, ginkgo biloba, high doses of vitamin E or prescription anticoagulants such as warfarin and other drugs that reduce clotting.
