USES:
Evening primrose oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, among which include linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), with low content of saturated fatty acids. Linoleic acid is abundant in many vegetable oils but Evening Primrose Oil is one of the few natural sources rich in GLA.
The body is not limited to use polyunsaturated fatty acids for growth of cell membranes, but that she also makes prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are hormone-like substances physiologically active, which control and regulate many body processes. Before using linoleic acid to form prostaglandins, the body has to convert GLA and, sometimes, this conversion is slow or is partially blocked. Therefore, a dietary source of GLA can be useful to the body by the fact that it avoids the pre-conversion process. The GLA is the precursor of a particularly important prostaglandin, PGE1, which is involved in regulating the nervous, cardiovascular and reproductive systems in the state of the skin and other biological functions.
Primrose Oil 1,000 mg from Lamberts ® contains 84 mg of GLA per capsule. It is also enriched with 100% RDA of vitamin E. To produce our primrose oil, using mature seeds of the species Oenothera biennis.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 to 3 capsules daily with a meal.
