L-Tyrosine, 500 mg.
USES:
Amino acids are essential for health. It is the small structural components of proteins, and are necessary for the synthesis of the same in the body. The main function of most amino acids is to provide essential materials for duplication of the genetic code for cell division and the formation of muscles and connective tissue.
Amino acids are classified as essential amino acids and nonessential amino acids, the latter are amino acids that can be manufactured in the liver from other amino acids and from materials found in our food. Essential amino acids are those that can not be synthesized in the body, but can be obtained from plants and animals.
Tyrosine is an essential amino acid that has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier (blood-brain). Once in the brain, is a precursor of the neurotransmitters dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine, also known as adrenaline. These neurotransmitters are an important part of the sympathetic nervous system.
Tyrosine is also the precursor of thyroxine, catecholamines and the major human pigment, melanin. Is involved in the functions of the glands, adrenal, pituitary and thyroid.
Tyrosine is not in large quantities in the body, because it is rapidly metabolized.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 to 4 capsules per day with water or fruit juice.
Amino acids are best taken half an hour before a meal or before bedtime.
WARNINGS:
Do not ingest along with monoamine oxidase (MAO) (a type of antidepressant).
Do not take if pregnant or lactating.
